How to write a self-harm policy for your organisation, company, school etc. 

Does your organisation have a self-harm policy? More often than not, self-harm is briefly included in safeguarding policies. If this is the case, or even if you have a dedicated self-harm policy, how extensive is it? What will your organisation do if a young person, member of staff, service user or client self-harms on the premises? What support will your organisation provide to the person who self-harms? What will you do if someone asks you to dispose of their self-harm implements? Are healed scars OK to be uncovered? How about unhealed ones?
