In-house training

All our training is available for in-house delivery to organisations wishing to suit their staff's availability and ease of access. Your organisation does not need to be in Leeds. We can deliver in-house training in Yorkshire and along the M62 corridor. Travel and other expenses (e.g. parking) will be applied as an extra cost if more than £5.
2-hour Q&A sessions are a practical alternative to the 1-day workshops when time or money is an issue or when contact with people who self-harm or have eating disorders isn't so frequent. These are suitable for professionals such as school pastoral care staff, foster carers, charity staff and volunteers etc. Following a brief introduction we focus on the most important issues faced and the burning questions. The self-harm sessions are facilitated by the Battle Scars CEO, Jenny Groves, who can draw on years of knowledge and personal experience. The eating disorders sessions are facilitated by the Battle Scars vice-chair of the board of trustees, Debbie Riley, an anorexia survivor with many years' training experience.
Self-harm Q&A sessions are recorded with the participants' approval for volunteer training purposes.
'Jenny delivered a two hour workshop to the pastoral team here at PHGS. The session gave us a fascinating insight into self-harm as well as providing us with some extremely useful suggestions for supporting both young people who self-harm and also parents. Jenny was very candid in sharing her experiences and engaging in the way she delivered the session. I would certainly be happy to recommend Battle Scars to colleagues in other schools.'
