Facebook support group

online Facebook self-harm peer support group
https://www.facebook.com/groups/182423148780739/

Do you need someone to talk to?
Do you need to express the turmoil you're feeling inside?
Do you feel isolated and that those around you cannot understand you?
Are you looking for support to learn to manage your behaviour?
Do you want to share your "small" achievements with those who un
derstand how big they actually are?
Are you a parent, partner or carer of someone who self-harms and need help to support them?
This is a private (only members can see posts) Facebook group for anybody, anywhere in the world. Any member can post and comment and other members offer what support they feel able to offer.
"I have the most amazing support from the Facebook group, it has really helped to reduce my instances of self-harm so much"
"The Facebook group is very friendly and even though I haven’t had the confidence to post much I have found it very helpful in reading other’s stories and the advice given as it can be relatable"
This is not a group run by professionals.
This group DOES NOT promote self-harm but it does promote acceptance.
Group rules MUST be confirmed before application to join will be considered. There is sometimes a short pause so please remain on page. Any problems, please let us know.
Graphic photographs are not allowed and all conversations must remain within the group.
All content is monitored by a team of admins and moderators. Rules are strictly enforced.
This group is part of our efforts to remove the stigma and break down the isolation felt by people who self harm.
By helping others we help ourselves.
For more information about how the group is run and regulated please see our relevant policy (link below)
"Facebook page is very well managed and mods are quick to act in situations which may break the rules"
