Face-to-face group for parents / family / friends of people who self-harm
|
Caring for someone who self-harms can feel overwhelming and isolating — but you don’t have to go through it alone. Our small, welcoming group offers a safe space to connect with others who understand what you’re going through. Whether the person who self-harms is a child or an adult, you’re welcome here (participants must be 18+).
Every other Wednesday 6:30–8:00pm Drop-in — no booking needed, just come along when you can. No postcode restrictions — if you can get here, you can join us Here you can:

You may be concerned you might say the ‘wrong’ thing or that you perhaps wouldn’t have the grasp of the right language which might upset others in the group. Don't let that hold you back. Our facilitators will help you find the right words, help you understand and include you in the group. Remember, everybody is in similar situations: struggling, worried and stressed. Even if you recognise some of your actions towards your loved one were unhelpful, there is never any blame allocated. By attending a group you are taking a step forward to learn and find out what would work better; that's admirable.
